The Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening DX
Nintendo Entertainment Analysis & Development
Sinopse
The Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening DX is indeed an updated re-release of the original Link's Awakening with the game presented in full color instead of grayscale. Beyond the color upgrade, several notable features were added to take advantage of the Game Boy Color hardware.
The most significant gameplay addition is the Color Dungeon, an optional hidden dungeon that can be accessed after returning BowWow to Madam MeowMeow following the second dungeon. This dungeon features color-based puzzles with color-coded enemies and switches. Upon completion, players receive a permanent upgrade by choosing between the Red Tunic (increases attack power) or Blue Tunic (increases defense power).
Other additions include a Photographer who captures pictures throughout Link's adventure, which are stored in a Photo Album at the Camera Shop. The game also replaces the original's Stone Slabs with and Stone Beaks in dungeons, and adds a voice from the Spirit of the Mansion to provide hints when visiting the Seashell Mansion.
