StarCraft: Insurrection

StarCraft: Insurrection is an authorized expansion pack for StarCraft that was released on July 31, 1998, developed and published by Aztech New Media with Blizzard Entertainment's authorization.

The expansion features three new full campaigns comprising roughly 30 campaign missions with new stories, characters, and cinematics for each race (Terran, Protoss, and Zerg). The campaigns are set during Episode I and revolve around events on a Confederate planet called Brontes IV. The expansion also includes more than 100 new multiplayer maps.

However, Insurrection is limited in scope compared to other expansions—it contains only new campaigns and multiplayer maps without adding new units, graphical terrain tilesets, or other gameplay content. The campaigns are fully voice acted, though voice quality varies across different actors.

The expansion was criticized by reviewers for lacking the quality of the original game. Due to its lack of commercial success, it became difficult to obtain and is not widely available. Despite being officially authorized by Blizzard Entertainment, the company offered no comment on support or availability.
