MARVEL Tōkon: Fighting Souls is a 4v4 tag team fighting game developed by Arc System Works and published by Sony Interactive Entertainment, launching August 6, 2026 on PlayStation 5 and PC.

Gameplay & Mechanics

The game features intuitive controls designed for both newcomers and competitive players. Unlike traditional team fighting games that require mastering multiple characters, you only need to master one character to play effectively. The game supports both traditional fighting game inputs and simplified button combinations, allowing multiple characters to appear on screen simultaneously for backup or coordinated attacks.

The 4v4 team format was chosen to maximize the intensity of battles with multiple characters on screen while celebrating Marvel's vast roster of character team-ups. Each character has a unique set of Normal, Special, and Ultimate Skills inspired by their Marvel abilities and powers.

Roster & Characters

The confirmed roster includes iconic heroes and villains such as Captain America, Iron Man, Spider-Man, Doctor Doom, Storm, Ms. Marvel, Star-Lord, and Ghost Rider (Robbie Reyes). The X-Men are prominently featured as a fully revealed team for launch. Character selection prioritized Marvel's most recognizable faces while balancing different battle styles and including characters never before playable in fighting games.

Visual Style & Stages

The game features anime-inspired visuals with Arc System Works' signature Japanimation style rather than a traditional western comic-book aesthetic. Stages are filled with interactive elements and easter eggs, featuring multiple areas with strategic transitions that impact gameplay.

The game will be available in standard, Digital Deluxe (including first-year season pass), and Ultimate editions with additional cosmetics and character costumes.
