O PlayStation VR2 será lançado no primeiro trimestre de 2023, ainda sem data confirmada.
Algumas das características confirmadas são: resolução em 4K, telas OLED, HDR, Eye Tracking, campo de visão de 110 graus, vibração no fone de ouvido, renderização estimulada, áudio 3D, e novos controladores de sentido.
Conforme relatado pela IGN, a Sony disse na Computer Entertainment Developers Conference 2022 que o PlayStation VR2 tornará mais fácil para os desenvolvedores portar seus jogos.
O aparelho usará o mesmo kit de desenvolvimento de software do PlayStation 5, garantindo que as empresas estejam familiarizadas com as ferramentas à sua disposição se quiserem portar um game para o PSVR2.
